Bringing a Dream to Life: A Loft Transformed into an Adult Sanctuary

This project saw us transform the uppermost level of an end-of-terrace house – part of a three-storey property – specifically for a buyer with a clear vision: to create an exclusive adult-only retreat. Our aim was to reimagine this loft space, tailoring it precisely to their needs for peace and relaxation.

The Loft's Challenges and Aspirations

Our buyers arrived with a very specific dream for their third floor. They envisioned a large master bedroom complete with integrated storage and media facilities. A spacious, modern, and vibrant wetroom was also high on their list. Aesthetically, they wanted to embrace a relaxed, dark mode for the master bedroom, contrasting it with a bright ensuite.

Our Creative Solutions Unfold

We began by cleverly repurposing the space from an unused airing cupboard to craft a seamless new set of stairs leading directly to the loft area. To truly unlock the potential of the roof space, we added two dormers, with the back one being larger than the front, flooding the area with natural light and expanding usable space.

A new en-suite was introduced, featuring a gently curving wall that not only added a touch of modern elegance but also made the master bedroom feel more open and seamless. The entrance to this private floor was thoughtfully designed to include a small, inviting sitting area, perfect for quiet moments.
