FAQ
How do you work on your design and do you use AI?
When redesigning the space, we aim for a good flow and examine the use of the space, your interactions with others, and the impact of light and air. No design is like another. We are thorough and pay close attention when we reposition utility functions such as kitchens and bathrooms, ensuring this is possible (as much as we can from the information presented). We do not use AI. We believe an experienced interior designer will consider all options and deliver a bespoke design best suited to your needs. We work with different software to create the 2D plans, 3D modules, and the rendering for the photorealistic images.
Why should I choose you and not an architect?
Our service comes at a particular stage where you might not want to commit to a full architectural service. We offer you the foresight for the property you either want to buy, sell, or know if to refurbish, with a very reasonable price tag. When you decide to go ahead, you have a great starting point.
How do I know which product to choose?
The answer depends on a few parameters: What is the purpose of the package? Are you planning on selling and want to wow your potential buyers? Go for the Pro Realistic Are you debating whether to extend or renovate? use the 3D Visualiser. Are you interested in a property but want to ensure it's the right one before buying and want to minimize the expense? Choose the 2D Starter. What is your budget? A property developer might want to spend the minimum amount to increase the profit so will choose the 2D Starter package. A homeowner might be more interested in seeing it in 3D / photorealistic to make sure he makes the right decision before buying or renovating. All packages answer the same questions and will give you the tools to seek pre-planning advice, get professional quotes, and help make an informed decision.
What is the difference between a single option and a double option?
A single option gives you the best layout choice we could come up with that answers your brief. A double option gives you the two best layout choices we could come up with. When you choose a double option you can decide if you want to see an extension versus no extension, one option with the musthave functions and one that also includes any Wish list functions, or even the same functions but laid out in two ways. It's a great way to open your mind to solutions that are not always as obvious as one option is.
What can be considered a **revision and not a new plan?
A revision includes the following: Changing the layout of the kitchen/ bathroom but not its position or its walls. Changing the layout of a room as long as it retains the same features (for example position the sofa facing a different direction, move the TV) and the same purpose (if it’s an office it will remain an office and not turn into a bedroom). Change the size of an opening (window/ door) but not its location. You can add more openings as long as it doesn't change the layout of the room. Change the colour of the furniture/ kitchen. Up to 5 interior changes per revision. A double plan can be anything you wish and has no restrictions (once you want to revise it, the same guides apply).
How do you calculate what is a *storey?
It must be intended for only one dwelling/unit of living (so can't be multiple flats on one floor) for example: a ground floor of a property that is being converted to three flats all on the same level would be calculated as three stories, one for each flat. If the property is being converted to several flats, each flat on two levels, each level of each flat is considered a storey (so each flat has two stories). A single-level property (such as a bungalow or a flat for example) is considered a single storey. A property that consists of several floors, each floor is considered as a single storey. This could be either the basement, ground floor, first floor, second floor, third floor, fourth floor etc. A garage can be part of the ground floor. A loft is considered a separate storey. We do not design the garden as part of the ground floor storey. When you have split-level property with a single room between levels (such as a bathroom between the first and second floor), you can ask to include this room in one of the stories. If you're uncertain how the calculation goes for your property, call or send an inquiry and we'll sort it out.
How long does it take to receive the finished products?
We aim to send each finished storey (from when we receive the completed questionnaire and all information needed) in the following lead times: 2D Starter single 3 working days 2D Starter double 3-5 working days 3D Visualiser single 6 working days 3D Visualiser double 6-9 working days Pro Realistic single 10 working days Pro Realistic double 10-12 working days.
What is included in the questionnaire and do I have to fill it?
The questionnaire consists of three sections: A general one containing information about who lives in the property (or will live there). A section regarding your needs concerning the space. And a section about style, so that we can tailor the design to your preferences. It is crucial to complete this if you plan to either buy or renovate, as this will be your space and you will benefit the more you guide us. If you are selling a property, you may not need to complete the entire questionnaire, only the parts that will be useful to us. We will contact you if we require further information to design the space successfully.
When do we have the ***consultation call?
The consultation call can be held at the beginning of the process to align all information regarding your requirements and any questions you may have before we commence the design. Alternatively, it can take place once the design process is completed to guide you through the changes that were made.
Can I go ahead with any renovations based on your plans only?
Our illustrations are created by an interior designer, taking into account what is feasible and what is not, and are based on inaccurate plans (sourced from estate websites or your drawings). They should only be used to obtain pre-planning application advice, acquire quotes from professionals such as builders, electricians, plumbers, etc., and generally to inspire your ideas about what your home could look like. If you wish to act on any of the suggested illustrations, you will need to obtain planning permission (if applicable), structural engineers' calculations, and/or architect plans if you are building an extension or undertaking loft or garage conversions. We accept no responsibility for any work that has been carried out without the appropriate safety measures and/or the approval of the necessary professionals.
I want to use your services but I do not see an option that answers what I want, what do I do?
Please contact us and we'll see how we can assist you.
I paid for one package but want to upgrade to another. How do I do this?
Each package is based on the previous product, so any upgrade can be done very easily. Just let us know that you would like to upgrade, and we will calculate the difference you need to pay.
I want to downgrade or cancel, how do I do it and will I receive my money back?
If you cancel within 1 hour of purchasing, we will refund you the entire amount. If you cancel at a later stage, we will charge you a percentage of the price depending on how far we are in the design process, in increments of 25% (so you could receive a refund of 75%, 50%, 25%, or none). If you wish to downgrade, we will apply the same calculation as for cancelling, based on the time we have spent on the product you no longer wish to keep. For example, if you purchased the 3D Visualiser single but decided after 4 days that you want the 2D Starter single, any time spent designing after the 2D Starter plans are completed will be deducted in increments.
